THE WAVE began in Feb 2007 in Oshawa, Ontario.  Jamie and Sandy Saunders began playing local establishments across Durham Region.  Jamie has been playing guitar for 20 years and in/out of various classic rock bands.  For the last 6 years, Jamie has been playing in the band DACE.  Sandy, playing guitar for only 5 years,  had been making various appearances in DACE.  As Sandy's role  in DACE began to grow, it became obvious that she and Jamie should start a side project....thus THE WAVE was born.  Soon it became obvious to everyone the THE WAVE was being asked to play more often, so Jamie made the decision to opt of the band and focus SOLELY on THE WAVE!!!

     What sets THE WAVE apart from everyone else is their ability to float seamlessly through the various genres of music.  Their motto is,  "A good song, is a good song!"  THE WAVE is constantly updating their setlist, so no two shows are ever the same.  Their wide variety of songs caters to all ages.  They are always open to suggestions for new material, and welcome a budding singer to share the stage with them.  After all, THE WAVE are there to entertain YOU!
